We are currently seeking Superintendents with extensive experience on FDOT or Heavy Highway projects to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead crew(s) by assigning work duties; observe and monitor work tasks; provide feedback to employees; evaluate work performance; and assist employees to correct deficiencies.
• Accomplish construction project results by accurately calculating resources required; establish standards and protocols; allocate resources; schedule and coordinate team and sub-contractors; evaluate milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolve design problems; evaluate and implement change orders.
• Monitor construction schedule, identify and solve problems, and report any issues.
• Direct field team to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
• Identify and report material and scheduling needs throughout the construction process to the Project Manager.
• Document jobsite details and report on progress daily.
• Approve construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtain approvals/finals.
• Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems and identify improvements.
• Coordinate and manage inspections by local government and state agencies.
• Promote job site safety, encourage and enforce safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately. 
• Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes and regulations.
• Enhance the company’s reputation by being responsive and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:

• Proven track record successfully managing and completing both small and large complex civil/FDOT/Roadway development projects.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience FDOT, Highway, Roadway construction experience as a Superintendent.
• Read and understand construction plans.
• Proven experience managing projects from $5M to $100M.
• Strong scheduling, quality, safety and field management experience.
• Ability to lead and assess trade performance on the job.
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and punctuality.
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and team building skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and work-site safety.
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs-100lbs.
• Strong work ethic.
